Over the years we have seen several RV wrecks. We don’t know if there were injuries, but in every case the RV, whether a trailer or a Class A was completely destroyed with wood, personal belongings, cabinets, sofas and everything else spread all over.

We saw one wreck when we were about 500 feet behind a travel trailer pulled by a pickup truck start to sway uncontrollably, and it ultimately got to the point where it started to flip and took the truck over with it. It literally disassembled itself as it slid into the median with the truck. The sole driver was OK but everything was totaled.

Five members of a family from Minnesota were lost in the Great Plains when their big, high end truck conversion and large race trailer went into the ditch and down into a ravine/stream. Everything about the floor was essentially wiped off the truck. Here is the story and some pictures/video:

I had been looking at truck conversions (Ideally a 379 Peterbilt with a Cat engine so I could wear the CAT hat while driving) up to that point. That accident and losing seven or eight feet to the engine and hood prompted me to look at Prevosts.

Just a thought…..If you recently had an unexpected significant repair on your bus and you are willing to spend a chunk of your life that you will never get back…..read some of the forums on FMCA and then go out and kiss your Prevost ! Geo
