  • Regulator Leak

Posted by Tim on February 12, 2017 at 8:22 am

I noticed my Aux compressor kicking on much more often than normal, so I started the hunt for an air leak. Long story short, found the regulator for the air bed underneath one of my closets.

If I change out the regulator, do I need to change out the air lines at the same time? They are not leaking so my preference would be to simply change out the regulator, if possible.

Tim, before you change, did you try to adjust / correctly position the lines into the valve?

Same thing happen to me and it was just a matter of disconnecting the lines, reposition the valve, ensure lines are going in and seated correctly, adjusted for desired pressure to raise the bed, and done.

If I have to change the valve, and lines look ok, no leaks, they are indoor / no weather elements to wear them out(other than maybe heat…) I would not change them.

Should have explained a little more but I was traveling today.

My air air leak is on the front of the regulator. I don’t know if it’s slot an O-Ring I can replace or I have to replace the regulator.

I’ll try to wiggle it per your suggestion.
