When we bought our BlueOx I talked to our regular mechanic about it. He said he’d seen them installed on tow vehicles and said the wiring used diodes so the bus electricity wouldn’t backfeed.
I actually ended up at a local RV dealer which sells eerything from a popup to a 36/38 foot Class A. Service manaager said they’d done dozens of BlueOx installations. Had them do it, their shop rate was a little pricey at $135/hour. They did a nice job.
When we moved from the 2008 to the 2011 HHR I had the regular mechanic do it as he had a template to follow from one car to the other. Worked out fine.
I’d think any good RV dealer/shop with tow bar experience should be able to get the job done.
