Recliner
Looking to replace my current recliner in my H …
Any suggestions out there for a comfortable recliner … other than Lafer, which Marathon puts in their new coaches?

I’ll check out Chairland. I’d prefer one with a built-in footrest, but I’m flexible.

We put a Lazy Boy wall hugger in our Marathon. We went to a Lazy Boy showroom…many, many to choose from.

I’ve checked out some LazyBoys and they are certainly comfortable.
Chairland is at the Tampa RV show and I’ll test them out there ..

We just bought some new furniture for the house (ended up with La-Z-Boy) and learned something we never knew.
We wanted leather and because there is a lot of research available from the internet we found what we thought was good pricing of chairs we sat in and tried out in the store. Even though the store was a little higher priced than Wayfair for example we opted to purchase the furniture there.
The leather samples we used for selection was when we got a real education. La-Z-Boy and other sellers of the La-Z-Boy products will use any fabrics or leathers you select if you do not like what is in the store. When we selected a leather we liked it almost doubled the price and we found out why. The “leather” used on the furniture is not called a leather in the La-Z-Boy store. It is shown in their leather gallery but the product definition on their samples calls it a fabric. It is a reconstituted leather backing that looks and feels like new leather, but it is bonded to a plastic material of some sort that has the look and feel of real leather. When I read reviews given to leather chairs (all brands) I could not understand why a lot of complaints were about how the bonding on the leather was failing. It is the bonding between the reconstituted leather and the leather like outer surface that fails. Think of skin delamination.
As it turns out you have to be very careful when selecting materials, and real hides are expensive, but wear like iron. We have gone so far as to not only make sure we are getting real leather hides we are insuring all our furniture comes from the same dye lot so the finishes will be almost 100% the same. The problem with real leather we learned is its finish is not as perfect as the leather like material so we will have some flaws and color variation.
I’ll bet some of what we thought was leather that we bought over the years was not naugahide, but it was also not real leather.
Now for the sales pitch…….Buy La-Z-Boy because it is made just south of Knoxville in Dayton, TN, not offshore and if you select genuine leather it will get the finish you select in Ohio so you are supporting US business and employees.

Did I mention I have a “non-slide” coach. Which for me means I need a recliner that is smaller than the average Lazy-Boy recliner. I know they do make such a product, but it’s not a huge seller for them.

We bought Villa furniture for one of our coaches and the product was very good and so was the service. Di still thinks the Villa chairs we had were the most comfortable ever in all our coaches.

We will only use Ekornes Stressless recliner. Most of our prevosts had this brand. If it didn’t like the Beaver Bus 34, we replaced them with Ekornes. For my picky back, there isn’t a suitable knock off. As you know, 0593 is a 40 ft no-slide. We also don’t object to separate ottoman. Ekornes comecin many sizes and widths. The smaller ones are best.

We have and like Lafer Euro recliner. Compact, comfortable and the foot rest folds under.

Amish built, plenty of options in size, coverings and even folding work table. Require only 2.5 inches from the wall to fully recline.
I’ve seen them; they’re quality work.
