Rattle under driver over bumps
Ever since we got our bus – there has been a rattling sound under the drivers seat that would happen over bumps etc…
In my mind it sounded like a long metal support rod that was flexible enough to hit the frame or something when you hit bumps.
Found it yesterday – it was the spring that helps the front bumper door go back up. You can see it just behind the aux airtank in the drivers door comparment. It runs right along the floor of the comparment and I could even see marks on the floor where it was hitting it – making the noise.
Temorarily I used a towel to wrap around it and indeed the rattle stopped. So that was it.
I’m planning on a more permanent solution – probaby a piece of hose to go around it. One big enough and I’ll slit it down the slide and work it on there.
Anyway – just sharing the info for someone to find later.

That’s a great find! I have a rattle at the front passenger side mirror that has driven me and nuts since purchase.I would LOVE to find the cause of that.

Removing the mirror is easy and the wires have a plug making complete removal easy. If you need to take it apart, look at my video.
