There is a new product on the market called FiberFix. This is a new product saturated in a dry resin that when wetted, soaked in water and applies quickly will dry and harden. This product sold at Home Depot and Lowes as other retailers should be included. In emergency situations might be used to wrap a hose and with some time allow cure might allow you to limp along to a repair shop. Just a thought. Best Wishes

I noticed this on my coach when we first bought it. I thought … that is really odd, if I need the triangles and flares I’ll be standing out in traffic. So I moved all that stuff to the curbside of the bus. Now, I will never need it.

I am hoping your right… now that I will soon have a whole bunch of hoses… I am sure I won’t ever need one of those either 🙂 It’s all part of the adventure… right….

Central Power are the guys that helped me out a while back when my hydraulic tank ruptured. Glad to hear their Springfield location is as good as the Salina, KS location. They’ll be doing an alignment and PM service on our coach on Friday as we head back south.
PS. I’m going to move my warning triangles to the curb side. Tools were there from the gitgo, just never thought about the triangles… till now. Thanks for the advice!

I’M SO GLAD I READ THIS POST PLANNING TRIP TO NORTHERN WISCONSIN WILL GET NEW HOSES AND SOME STRAIGHT HOSE IN 3&4 INCH TO CARRY ALONG 8V 92 LOOKS ALL STRAIGHT WITH TUBE BENDS DON’T WANT TO BE ON SIDE IN NORTH WOODS THANKS TAG1

So, lessons learned here is get a set of engine hoses as spares also change them every 5 years when changing coolant? How about the rest of the hoses on the coach, complete set spares? I hate being on side of the road with a tech charging u 150/hr to trouble shot and provide part?

Good advise, My coach is 10 years old, and I will get all hoses changed and coolant replaced when I get to Jeffs,they have been inspected but as you see you can not see the inside, and I am at a dis advantage when it comes to doing repairs on the side of the road, these machines are a lot like boats I used to have You do the prevenitive maintenance cause when you are 60 miles offshore you just hope someone is in radio distance to give you a hand, I did maintenance more than most and still came in on one engine a couple times, Gary

TAG1, it’s sure best to avoid it, but if you do get stranded in Northern Wisconsin you can rest assured the folks will stop and try to help. Where are you going up there?
