If you folks don’t know who Bob is , he is very knowledgeable and may be the best with info about Prevost , Bob I feel your pain about fittings , I hVe replaced all fittings with push in fittings and yet there are some that you can’t see , like above cruise air above door or above tv that are push in fittings , they can leak !!!!

I am sure some engineer or manager at Prevost came to realize that on a half million dollar bus shell they could save $100 worth of labor using push in fittings instead of compression fittings.

Here is a challenge for the Prevost employees who participated in the decision or went along with the decision. Pick any 10 year old conversion. At 10 years of age those labor saving fittings are all leaking about one bubble of air per hour. None of that is even worth mentioning, except out of the hundreds of push in fittings in use each one contributes to a leak rate that is annoying, extremely difficult to fix, and pisses us off. So all we ask of you is to take one of our 10 year old coaches and change its fittings back to compression. We get to watch you. We get to laugh at what you have to go through. We get to watch you write a large check just to pay for the correct fittings. We get to watch you spend at least a week busting your knuckles making the bus the way it should have been from the factory.

I’ll bet when you are done fixing a bus you won’t make stupid decisions like the one relating to push in fittings.
