  • PROFILE INFORMATION

Posted by Archived on January 15, 2016 at 6:08 am

If you are posting to the forum the one way to insure your post has a greater meaning, or that your question gets more accurate answers is to add a signature line.

There is no limit to the information you can provide, but at the very least try to include your coach information such as body type (XL, H3, etc.) the converter (Liberty, Country Coach, etc) model year, and anything additional that may give others some insight as to what you have. If you do not own a coach, but are looking it doesn’t hurt to state that because other members may contact you with an offer of a coach that might be just what you are looking for.

If you ask a question about a specific problem also try to share as much information about the problem because you have to become the eyes and ears for the “technicians” who may respond with answers to your problem.

Also, if you are new to the forum and you do seek assistance you have the ability to enable others to contact you by email.

Ditto what Jon said, here’s what your Profile form looks like and where you create your signature:

If I might add to your comments Jon, I for one, like to see the signature line for those posting answers as well. I believe this helps me evaluate the answer and only a ‘handle’ just doesn’t indicate a level of experience.

Obviously we cannot vouch for the accuracy of responses, or the quality of questions. But as Larry has correctly pointed out putting important information in your signature line does offer insight into depth of experience of people answering, and in the case of questioners it helps if the signature line has a little detail, such as if an owner, if just looking, or if there is some first hand experience with Prevost coaches.

Just to support what Larry is asking, I have modified my signature line. It won’t tell if I have any first hand experience at spinning wrenches, but it will reveal I may have some knowledge gained from years of ownership.Perhaps everyone can review their profile and amend the signature line to help others evaluate questions asked or answered.

I can not wait to see Tom’s new signature line, based on Jon’s.

    Paul,

The signature area is inadequate for Tom to divulge all his Coach owner data. Besides that, he’s likely already looking for his next coach with slides which would invalidate his old coach owner history. I understand Nancy really wants slides, Tom well not so much.

Tom is going to keep it simple. He is going to list the coaches he hasn’t had.

Better info, good idea, I’m in.

I hope nobody thinks adding a little more information to the signature lines is going to make us smarter, or make us actually post correct answers. That is asking a little too much.

Hope nobody asks me any wrenching questions. They will get a ‘deer-in-the-headlights’ stare.

C’mon Mark, A broom is a tool…and I know you know how to sweep up all those rose petals. Geo.
