Prevost slide control valves
Does anybody have a source for the o-rings in these valves. They are SMC and there are 6 valves on the air block.
The unit runs around $4,000 from Prevost, but often the valves just need the six o-rings in each replaced. There are 4 of one size and 2 slighty bigger. I have a large air leak from the exhaust port of the the control block, so ay least one of the valves is leaking internally. There is a repair kit, but it is $30 to $60 each(can’t remember which) but that seems excessive for some o-rings, plus they are on back order.
Anybody worked on these?

What would be ahuge help would be if you put some coach specific information in your signature line. There are a lot of variations of Prevost slides as well as numerous other slide room manufacturers such as HWH, Valid and even Vantare.
If all you need are O rings they are pretty generic and if you measure the diameter and the thickness you can likely get new ones of the correct size for a few pennies.

Kit, “o” rings are not equal. Using the correct type will be important to a successful rebuild.
Did you give Jeff a call at ETLC ?
Another option is a pneumatic service shop where they sell hose, valves, as many do cylinder rebuilding.

Guess I’ll have to figure out how to get those little pictures and coach info onto the bottom of my questions like everyone else. Didn’t even realize coach info wasn’t there. Turns out these o-rings are quite small and finding a source is turning into a bit of a chore.

Good to hear from you. These o-rings don’t work in high temp, high pressure, corrosive environment so I would think just about any kind would work. Thanks for the suggestion of a pneumatics shop. I’ll see what I can find
in the Punta Gorda area.
