prevost cross over # to save$$$
I put this here to ask because of not wanting to damage prevost help…They are great and on most 75% of products good price. Again on some—-call 911… The 5- port norgren cross over I needed at local over counter jobber 87$out the door function for function same name differeant ID# We do allot of construction/truck repair and parts with them. Can we mention sources in Homebuilder section as not to offend Prevost=== they are still My go to for special!!! Your wishes will be followed. Bob

Over the years on just about any forum including this one members have posted sources, part numbers, prices, etc. Don’t hesitate if you have information about that which can benefit members.
We have both praised and chastized Prevost on forums because on some items such as air bags their prices are unbeatable, yet on brake chambers they are significantly out of line with prices double or more over parts house prices.

To add to the above discussion, manufacturers such as Prevost often use off the shelf components, but for whatever reason they have the manufacturer of those items assign a proprietary part number. Since the discussion is about Norgrens I will use that as an example. At one time the Norgrens used on our coaches had the manufacturer’s model number on it. Then the same valve when intalled had a different part number which could not be crossed over to a Norgren distributor’s model number. Same valve, different number.
The same thing applies to other items like air bags.
If you can cross to trade numbers or the manufactuers numbers you can check prices from a variety of sources.

actually laid it on counter —he said i got the same thing– didn’t hesitate walked back norgren same drawing on valve—–control line location all $87 out door. They use them all time on wreckers and minning equipment.. said you need any other switching equipment?? Local brake and electric jobber–heavy duty puematic /hydraulic/electric/rebuilder type shops…Plus it’s where we get we get our business parts also.

In searching for a source for Norgren valve repair kits, I located the following company that also carries the valves. In September, I purchased a 5-port valve (NR K81EA00-KAC-KAC) for $75.61 – brand new. The part number is identical to the one removed.
