Which converters and/or what kind of information?

I see various names of the coaches and interested in what companies actually in past did conversions. Basically trivia searching.

Like what is a XLV II?

XLV was the identifier for the XL rivet coach, 45 feet long.

XLII was the non-rivet X series coach.

I don’t know if Prevost considered them official names but Prevost owners use those identifiers to describe their coaches almost universally.

An XL is a 40 foot rivet coach.

Prevost switched from rivet coaches (XLs and XLVs) to the non-rivet coaches (XIIs) in about 2000. I don’t think Prevost made a 40’ XII (but maybe they did).

The “non-rivet” coaches had their stainless steel side panels held on with an adhesive process that in too many cases was subject to delamination. The fix is expensive. Anyone buying an XII that hasn’t had the Prevost delamination fix and repaint should have the coach inspected by Prevost.

I think I have this right.

So I need to change my designation to XLV

The brochure for the bus calls it a Royale Coach Prevost Le Mirage Conversion.

Liberty owners refer to their coach as Elegant Lady. Do they have other names for a Liberty conversion?

Was rose petals standard on the Liberty or was it an option?

Only delusional Liberty owners have the rose petal option.

    Happy Trails…

Dick, there are several 40′ XL ll’s out there, my first exposure to Prevost was a 40′ 02 Marathon.

G, The Liberties are Elegant Lady (24 volt) and Lady Classic (12 volt). The rose petal thing is a myth generated by( as Les pointed out) delusional Liberty owners. Something about their #$@! don’t stink. The rest of us all know better!

Since when does our XXXX stink?

Obviously until the Redhead makes you buy the best conversion you will not realize there is a transformation that takes place as soon as you own a Liberty. Your XXXX will not emit any odors of an unpleasant nature, but if any are released they will have a scent like rose petals

My wife has apparently been a Liberty owner in her past life because for going on 59 years I have been informed her farts do not stink.

There are two kinds of Prevost owners …

Those who have a Liberty Coach …

and those who secretly wish they had a Liberty Coach. Let them keep their secrets to themselves.

Dick I guess there are still some Kool Aid drinkers, but you and Jon seem to have been spiking yours for the Holidays.
