I too will have to say, bus life would be pretty hard for us greenhorns without this site. And Jeff Rowe has gotten me out of a jam more than one time. I appreciate the fact he helped me when I was in need and have and plan on spending the lions share of my bus expenses with East Tennessee Luxury Coach. Jon, Tom, and many others have years of experience they don’t mind sharing with us.. What goes around comes around..

TAG1, I had the same leak. Turned out to be a loose fitting inside the coach, inside a hanging closet, at the bottom underneath a cover. This line supplied water to the clothes washer. A gray line coming down through the subfloor into the water bay with water clinging to that vertical pipe.

Look at some of the other signatures here and make yourself one similar, the better to help you.

Had the coach at the race track for three days this past weekend. One of the fellow racers (I’ve actually raced against him in the same group for probably eight years, but have never talked to him) came up and talked to me about the Prevost. He is looking at a really old one … 1979 I think.

I told him about PC and Jeff Rowe. Told him that without this web site I might not own a Prevost today … and if I had made a purchase without the PC forum and without Jeff Rowe I would have probably sold the coach by now.

after talking to jeff he pointed out a lawsuit over tubing in the past my bus had a past of 2 pole barns one in illinois and one in naples fl they would drive the prevost between those points and store in heated aired buildings i’m going on 4 yrs my bus is stored inside it’s own box in wisconsin no heat i pump antifreeze thru system til it all runs pink this is how it’s done in the land of cheese i think old well cared for tubing runs into wisconsin winter and 4 yrs later i have a problem jeff said they have a fitting to connect old tubing to new pecs tubing i think it’s time to replace tubing starting in kitchen easy path to water heater bay where water enters bus than move on to bath hand sink / toilet not bad shower very bad last is washer/ dryer not sure of that route probably thru top of bays this is not for the limp wristed cutting into sub floor will require time not to damage wiring but to lay out new tubing i think is the way to go for my old girl off to the races TAG1

Please add a signature line so we all know the model and year of coach. When members know of the year and converter the answers can be more accurate and specific to the coach.

At one time there was a massive recall on a plastic tubing (polybutyl or something like that) because it was being used in new home construction and owners found it was intolerant of chlorine. If your coach is of the vintage that the tubing was used that could be the root cause of leaks. Jeff is likely to have more specific information.

Hey TAG, how about a picture? I used to own a ’90 Country Coach and there are at least 2 other owners of 90CCs who post here. BTW, I have the 1990 CC owners manual if you or anyone else needs it.

i will have to work on that just got idea on new tubing job once i can get started cutting floor under kitchen/bath sinks will be slow go fuse panel on end of bath sink will drill pilot holes connect holes for access to sub floor ie bay ceiling will use flex stainless lines from faucets to tubing may leave stored water system with pumps alone can cut it in later camping this weekend with 5 gal jugs prevost roughing it the shower is a big problem jeff rowe said i could remove lower cabinets under kitchen cabinets above sink that will give me back of shower faucet but where do i fish new tubing from hate to breakout tile to run new lines this bus is 25 yrs old looks and runs great thanks to this site i met jeff will see how it goes thanks TAG1

i found this bus thru phils i had looked to buy a 2000 country coach h3 double slide 63k miles but had issues so phil found this in zion il the owners used it to move between il and naples, fl they built pole barns in both places it was babied i’m the third owner have all paper work all new air bags just before i bought it minor paint issues but clean stainless bought van galder steers take offs new mci bus with mich had a contract with firestone i got the pair for $8000 great deal just camped in lake arrow campground montello wi nice place 50 amp /sewer / good water off to rv services deforest wi monday to reseal 3 side windows drives side did a spray on on right side under awning 2 wks ago flex seal clear was in bad storm sunday nite no leaky got the new water pipe job to do did prevost roughing it last weekend bus runs great TAG1

Jeff is working on the shower P trap in my coach right now or this week.

Just did all Norgen valves and fittings and the dash air compressor.

Great place to go for service and repairs, best I have ever been to.

just got thru sub floor friday had to go in under kitchen sink remove panel exposing race way along side of bus is the webasco water lines and 12volt/110 power lines this bus has a gas stove so located that in raceway and found in 3rd bay where water heaters live. had room to drill thru top and than bottom coming out just to left of water heaters than was able to push pecs tube up from bottom leaving me inside raceway area under kitchen sink . will use 4 ft stainless 1/2 inch flex line to connect kitchen faucet to new tubing . already unscrewed water line from input behind water pressure regular have pecs connector for that will tee out front to back allowing cold water run to toilet / hand sink front run will tee out again to feed hot water heaters will add shut off valves to hot water tanks hope to get cold water to kitchen sink before weekend camping in wisconsin race way behind toilet could be tough bought a hand camera with 4 ft wand can see bottom of raceway will have to fine a spot for 1/2 in tube to run up in 4th bay once in will tee inside raceway for toilet/hand sink got lucky in kitchen will take time in bath hot water lines will follow cold into raceways will use stainless flex at hand sink to get to raceway shower big deal jeff rowe told me about shower control access thru kitchen area removing small cabinet on sink counter that will get me to valve will pull lower cabinet draws out to see if i can find a way into wall . 1/2 flex will have to drop down from valve exit at back corner than make its way to kitchen sink area to tie into hot/cold water lines i guess if i was being paid $1000 plus per hour i would be in big hurry but now retired will take my time the gray tubing lasted a long time this repair job will last longer than me TAG1
