Prevost Awning windows
2006 H3 Prevost slides. I have 2 of the 4 tip out horizontal windows that have moisture inside. Been dealing w Prevost parts, Mira Loma / New Jersey… No help , their attitude is Obsolete parts..! Steve Ziegler , no help. Getting very frustrated , has anyone else replaced or in need of replacement glass not supported anymore ? And $2,250 ea.

I have no first hand knowledge of how the windows are secured to the coach or how they are framed or constructed, but I do know if you can get the window to a glass service company they can separate the two panes, clean the glass and reseal it. Pretty cheaply compared to what you were quoted.
I hope whoever is sitting in the ivory tower at Prevost is proud of themselves for failing to support a relatively new coach.

The awning windows are not that difficult to remove, I had 3 done years ago at Suncoast in Hudson, FL and I would NOT suggest going there. I thought there was a place in AR that was also doing them, maybe someone will remember that.

Anyone have any recommendations on getting windows cleaned & resealed. ? Lots of stories out there, not a lot successful ones. The windows in question are hinged / should be simple to remove.

Jeff took his CC to the place in Arkansas to get a window replaced and it appears they want nothing to do with Prevost any more. He had to go to Prevost-Dallas.

Nobody will convince me anyone does a better job than Prevost, but sometimes Prevost could do better. A lot better.
Just like the crappy mirrors which still vibrate and have a poor quality plating, Prevost double pane windows had fogged since the beginning of time. Not only should the quality be a hell of a lot better, but a failure to provide replacement windows and parts for coaches is inexcuseable.
We have heard some parts are not available because Prevost and the vendor got crosswise with one another plus other lame excuses. Come on Prevost, put on your big boy pants and give the customer a little support.

I believe the glass is still available, but the frame has to be removed from the existing window and attached to the new window via Sika flex, I believe. It has to be perfectly aligned or the window will not close right. I’ve had 2 done, the last one being last year.

The final word from Prevost … these windows are available. Complete assembly only , motor, latch, surround .. $4,153.22 ea.

Wow! That’s a real bargain.
So if you lose the drain plug on your engine, does this mean you can get a replacement for $30,000 but it includes the engine?

Searching site for info on awning windows. We have one that does not open. It unlocks and makes noise but does not open
The other one opens but will not close and lock properly.
Is this a common problem? fix?
Maybe a dumb question. Why are there two switches. Seems like the ones that work (front) operate with either switch.

RV Fog Doctor is in Searcy Arkansas. They will do side window that are not glued in, ie framed windows. It may be worth a call to them.
