Tim,
I have the new pulse and new senders. I installed it. My antenna is just ahead of the drives angled backward at about 45 degrees. My temps read in 1 degree increments as well as pressures. I recently added sensors for my toad.

I am not a Pressure Pro expert and my experience is related solely to the Pulse with the latest sensors with close temperature readings.
Installation is relatively simple using the hard wired antenna Tom mentions. On my coach which will be somewhat different than an H3 or a converter other than a Liberty it involved dropping the antenna down into the steer compartment, and in my case over the wheel well behind the rubber flange on the wheel opening arch, then towards the rear where I fastened it to the hold down strap on the fuel tank. It needs a chassis ground, it needs to get as far to the rear as possible and that location satisfied both requirements. I think I had about 1 1/2 to 2 hours invested running the antenna.
I still occasionally verify the pressure readings, but since it is almost 9 months since installed I am satisfied it is accurate. I am within 1 PSI or less between the Pressure Pro and the digital tire pressure gauge I use.
With the model I have the temperatures are always very close to one another but be aware it is not actually reading temps, but is using an algorithm to calculate them. The temperatures are very close to what I have read with the IR gun.
I have mentioned my only suggestions to the folks at Pressure Pro and they are simple. First, always scroll the pressures. The screen display turns off after a while and I think it would be easier and safer if I did not have to press a button to scroll through the pressures. The second concern is make an out of range pressure alert loud in addition to a flashing display. We have a lot of noises in the coach so since tire pressures are a serious safety issue the PP needs to have a predictive audible alert when pressures are moving towards a dangerous level, up or down.
What sold me on it was I can use any of my three toads and all I have to do is pick which one I am hitched to. Makes it really easy.

I also bought the pressure pro from Tom and love it, I don’t like the temperature readings in the 40 degree increments and plan to get the newer sensors. Like Jon said the display does go out after about 30 seconds and yes you do have to look and push the button to wake it up, but I was told that a downloadable patch will allow you to have the display stay on all the time. But as it comes if the display is dark you don’t have any problems so no need to look at it.

My reason for having a display scroll pressures is the availability of information and an earlier warning if something is going on.
We all think about being warned before a tire is damaged due to low pressure. If we have the ability to glance periodically at pressures we can begin to see a slow leak long before we have to react which gives us more time to figure out what we want to do. I tend to pay attention when my gauges are as little as a needle width off from what I normally am used to seeing. The same can be said about detecting a tire pressure a few pounds deviation from normal, up or down.

I rely on the warnings, the Pulse is asleep and all is well. Why distract yourself when driving trying to look at numbers, look out the windshield. Adjust the low pressure alarm down if you want an earlier warning.

I’m just curious…where did everyone mount the display for the unit.

Jon….
There’s a Prevost specialist just south of Knoxville where you’re located. It’s called ETLC. Ask for Jeff. He will fix you up with an iPad on your dash where you can see your coach and toad on one screen with all the Pressure Pro Plus air pressures noted for each tire. No scrolling and distraction involved to see all the tire pressures on the same screen.
-
I personally do not want a scrolling screen on my pressure pro. I want to be able to look at a pressure, look out the windshield, check my mirrors, scan some gages look back out the windshield, then push the button to check the next pressure and repeat. If it scrolled, I would have the tendency to stare at the scrolling loop and take my eyes and mind off driving for far too long.
Mounting depends on preference. I mounted mine on the pillar just to the left of my head at eye level. I did this because I am hard of hearing and if it alarms, it will scream in my ear and I just have to trurn my head to see the blinking pressure reading and the light at the position of the tire all within 2 seconds, then eyes back on the road. With all the high frequency alarms on the coach, it is hard for me to determine where a tone is coming from, but with the pressure pro mounted beside my head, I can not miss it. But that is just for me and probably would drive someone else crazy. With the easy mount system, you can place it where you want it.
And with that glowing advertisement Tom, I expect a discount when I either upgrade or need new monitors.

Jimmy,
Please do not hold your breath waiting for me to switch to an ipad or to incorporate everything from the camera to PP on one screen.
If I ever redo the system and displays for my coach it will be extensive. Obviously I will start with a hard wired switch at a convenient location for things like lights and pocket doors among other things. Then the dash display will have a high quality video display and not the washed out, hard to see, image I now have. I will add two cameras to see low and along the sides to make sure the morons that like to drive in my blind spoits are visible. That will be the primary function.
The second function will be to display alerts, and with a plain English explaination will say specifically what the alert is. The alerts will come from any and all sources, such as DDEC with not only the code, but a paragraph if necessary to indicate what may cause the code. It will alert to any readings outside of an acceptable range including air pressures, ABS faults, PP tire pressures and readings for temp, house water system pressure, voltages, tank levels, etc. All of the things that might not be caught or noticed while driving will be displayed so a condition such as a failed water pump or fitting can be detected before much damage is done.
Some functions will be useable on a third screen or page. Thingsl like turning on or off certain lights, locking or unlocking doors, but limited to things that might be important to deal with while driving.like adjusting sound level on the TV or Bose. We listen to both a lot (no video, just the satellite music or stored music) but right now to control either it has to be done in the LR.
The other diplays through the coach can be duplicates of what is now on the Crestron
My guess is this project will begin as soon as Tom starts to share the dues money with me. This is the money he used to have Jeff’s folks redo the interior on his coach, buy a Jeep for Lady Nancy, and build a new home in Polk City.

Rick – Here’s where I mounted mine and hard wired it in the steering bay.

I just sent Jon a check for 6 years of due’s money, there was nothing to it, he just needed to ask.
-
I’ve been told by Pressure Pro they will have a new Repeater by the end of the year that will work with the Pulse and the standard monitor. This will solve the external antenna need.
I’ll keep you posted.

I just got Tom’s check for my share of the dues money.
I was extremely impressed because the total amount had a lot of zeros. My elation was short lived however because when I went to cash it the bank said the first digit had to be something other than zero.
Maybe he just made a mistake and left out a number.
I guess I have to be satisfied with my commission checks for selling muffler grease and sailboat fuel.

I assume that second cord is for the external antenna …
I don’t know why PP would go from a nice attached antenna, 16W, with echo repeater, to something more complicated and akward, but it’s nice to know that a revised unit is in the foreseeable future.
