  • Power issue with AC units

Posted by Per on March 5, 2016 at 12:46 pm

We’re sitting here at Marathon making sure systems are up after Prevost and Marathon renovation. The Cruiseairs were working fine until we went for a ride. Disconnected shore power, started generator for the 20-minute ride. When we got back and plugged in the power to the Cruiseairs would not come on. Inverters and dash display shows AC coming in on both legs, and inverters are both on, showing AC in good, and bulk charge. Any ideas?

Ended up calling up Marathon emergency line. He talked me through resetting the coach, so all is well.

    Per,

Resetting the coach or just resetting the Inverters?

How do you reset your bus? Is it the same as shutting off the outside 12/24V system and the Inverters?

    Tim,

What I had to do is shut off shore power (labeled box in second bay DS), then the inverter cutoffs (knife switches in the inverter compartment), then the 12 and 24 volt shutoff switches above chassis batteries (behind tag on PS). Wait for about 10-15 seconds, then turn everything back on in reverse sequense. Sure enough, everything came back, and we had AC! We got a new computer and display, and it had the emergency number at Marathon.
