  • Power driven shore cable reel

Posted by Archived on September 20, 2014 at 10:10 pm

I replaced my house batteries today and my power reel came on and pushed out the cable and would not shut down. To get it to turn off I had to pull the fuse to shut it down. Has anyone had this happen?

I’ll take a guess. This might be an answer that applies to a number of conversions.

My previous coach, and possibly my current one has several devices that run through a converter installed and designed control system. When changing batteries all power to the systems and their controls is interrupted. When it is restored the control system in my case turned things on that had been off and things that were on were turned off. The pattern seemed random so upon power restoration I had to go through my coach turning off lights and turning on things as needed.

It might be possible for the same thing to have happened.

What I cannot explain is why the end of the coil stop was not functioning.

All the above was written strictly from my imagination and may have nothing to do with reality.

talked to Marathon today and Leon thought it was a problem with the limit switch. I took it all apart and excersized the switch and wala it works . Thanks for all the input.
