POG Member Shorts in a Wad
We couldn’t figure out why a former PC member was so upset over efforts to investigate appraisals. Rather than go off topic on the appraisal thread we will start a new thread. As stated a lot of effort was spent looking for information about appraisals and then verifying the recommendations we had gotten from multiple sources. Yet despite efforts to be factual and provide what we hope is helpful to all who are going to be getting an appraisal for any number of reasons a disgruntled person has taken cheap shots as he tracked the progress of our efforts. We couldn’t figure out why until his recent post on POG. Here is his post in its entirety:
Nothing, it’s a valid revenue stream and I guess it needed to be exploited. I would just caution that folks be careful not to pay more than they should or need to. It wasn’t hard to flush out a couple of qualified appraisers, and I’m certain there are many others who haven’t been mentioned. The other group likes to cultivate their revenue streams and my experience shows that these streams are what matters most, above all else. You know where to find me to discuss it further.
Apparently this guy is of the opinion Tom and Jon are doing stuff like the appraisal article to line their pockets.
Here is the pertinent poop………We will make as much money from recommending the appraisers that we identified as capable of valuing a Prevost coach as we collect in annual dues from our members. That’s right, we will collect nothing.
His comments are somwhat ironic because he likely is of the opinion it is not right to accept advertising dollars. This coming from a guy who pays $100 to get on the POG site, and whose owner charges his advertisers about three times the amount we charge for ads. And our policy has been that advertisers who offer discounts or benefits to Prevost Community members pay NOTHING.

Thanks for your post on POG Dick. When you challenged his take on our effort to sort out the appraisal matter his response above explained it all. Keep in mind folks that this guy did his best to undermine and ruin our PC fuel discount program, which by the way has kickbacks equal to what we collect in dues. This guy who has a problem with us is going to be really upset when he finds what we actually collect from advertisers doesn’t even pay us enough to approach minimum wage, much less line our pockets.
Tom handles the books and I think that is what he says. (Just kidding folks, Tom does all the heavy lifting and I get to play on the forum)

Geeeesh … I’m just a first time RVer and first time Prevost owner who eighteen months ago didn’t know the difference between a CAC and trans retarder … and now I’m in the middle of the shouting between the two ultra-heavy weight titans of Prevost luxury motorcoach social media. Its kinda like having Bill France, Jr. and Tony George walking up me wanting to talk at the same time.
I just went out to POG today after not having been there for probably months to see what was going on as my annual POG dues are due and was wondering if there was enough going on over there to justify its $100 fee. And all this happens!

the topic then gets the spin put on it. It’s been pretty peaceful
over there until the disgruntled guy showed up again, he comes and

always starts, but he must enjoy the drama. I for one am done just ignoring
the insults and hidden innuendos regarding the “other site”

Hilarity for sure!! I didn’t realize the other forum was “open” to view, but no posting unless you throw $$$ at it. I see that the “shorts wad” has several times in body of thread referred to Mark Koch as a “Mike.” Hmm, more than a typo!!
