Chris, we stayed at Leaf Verde 4 times over the years. It’s a great park that is very well run. That park has an interesting story.
Back in the mid 80’s, the original owner couldn’t find decent parks for his Prevost coach, so, he opened his own. (this info comes from his grandson Scott Swanson).
Scott was a movie producer in Los Angeles (retired) and decided to come back home to run the RV park for his parents who inherited it from his grandfather. It is a very successful park full with snowbirds visiting in the winter months.
Leaf Verde was sold about a year ago and Scott purchased a RV park in Gila Bend, AZ, south of Buckeye. He bought a KOA franchise and has made the park one of the ‘cream-of-the-crop’ facilities winning KOA awards. We have stayed at the new park twice and he is doing a wonderful job.
