they let pasty middle aged white guys up there? These places that keep telling me I need to be 55+ are killing me 😉
We have heard good things about the UP… still haven’t made it. Some day we will for those 4 weeks of perfect weather 🙂

Charles: Petoskey is in the lower penninsula of Michigan. The UP doesn’t open to outsiders until the ice goes out which is not expected this year until late next week.

We drove by in our toad this afternoon and doubled back because it looked nice. They would not let us tour because was after 1630 and cited “privacy for their guests” . May stop by tomorrow AM with the coach on the way to Copper Harbor.

You’ll like the trip to Copper Harbor. Make sure you spend some time in Houghton,Hancock, Calument, Larium, and Kearsarge. When the copper mines were going full tilt around 1900 to maybe 1910 or so … that area was bigger than Detriot and had more economic influence than Chicago. Then the easy copper played out and things changed. There are lots of old abandoned mines and deserted villages with only the foundations of the houses and buildings left. Are you going out to Isle Royale?

We have stayed there several times and always liked it. Also have stayed at Hearthside Grove on the other end of Petoskey.
As long as there are no Dump Truk accidents, Tom should be fine there…..

After Dump Truk reported his two accidents is there anyone on here that believes he will ever post about a similar experience?
We will never know how often he just empties his holding tank on the ground.

Jon has informed me that with the extra dues money he gets from PC he has bought a subscription on a Land Sat satellite and had Jeff install a tracking device on Tom’s coach when it was here for a remodel, so now he has Tom under 24/7/365 photgraphic survailence.
If an event like that happens agin we will have the photographic evidence to post on PC.
From now on there is no relief for poor Tom
I didn’t tell Tom but when his coach was here for remodel I wanted to take pics on day but Jeff told me not to go in the coach, something about the glue on the floor wasn’t dry yet.
P.S. Thats a great place and unlike some other places your welcomed there.

I am currently in petoskey and did a visual inspection to be sure Tom had no sewer connection problems. I am happy to report all is tight and no leaks at all. Also Tom and his lovely wife Nancy not only delived to me a prevost community bag of pens and coffee cups ,pads etc but also gave me a certificate which guarantees me zero dues for my lifetime. I could not be happier
