PC/Tradewiinds Seminar up and Running
Nice weather here in Deland, FL, warm days cool nights and 22 buses attending. Last night Pat and Ethan from Michelin Tire joined us for dinner and Ethan will be back on Sunday for his presentation.

We just attended our third Prevost Community Know Your Prevost Seminar, this time at Tradewinds Coach and Marine. An amazing job of providing more information that I didn’t know I didn’t know by Jon and Tom as usual. Great presentations from Michelin, Power Tech, Winegard, Headhunter, Detroit Diesel/Allison Transmission, Backeye 360, and AAP. Spending time with old friends and meeting new friends, priceless.
Tradewinds supplied an outstanding venue, complete with 50 amp power for all. Kyle, Scott and Bryan went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. The whole Tradewinds crew was on duty the entire weekend. Whenever Jon would bring up something we should be checking, Kyle had the crew ready to check it if needed. On Saturday night, I noticed a commotion a few coaches away and water flowing on the parking lot. At first I thought it had to be Tom, but he was parked at the other end. It was Kyle and Bryan working on a problem with a coach. Now that’s great service.
Kyle had arranged for a coach washing company to be there too. Many coaches were washed including ours and it really needed it. Tradewinds also arranged for the Detroit/Allison reps to hook up their computers to anyone’s coach that wanted to get a report and or software update to their engine or transmission. This was a real bonus to an already fabulous weekend. The Detroit/Allison reps were running non-stop.
Besides a huge thank you to Kyle and all the Tradewinds crew, I have to give a shout out to Ann and Andre, and especially Tom’s hardworking wife Nancy, for doing all the heavy lifting with the food and beverages. Of course I can’t forget the dynamic duo Jon and Tom, who are worth twice the dues money they get. I am not sure Tradewinds can top this seminar, but hopefully they will try by hosting another in the future.

John now has lifetime free dues, but ditto on Tradewinds, they worked hard for this Seminar.
A special shout out for Cindy at Tradewinds, she worked non stop including her day off to make sure all the feeding and details were a success.

Double Dittos to Tradewinds & the staff. We took our coach in a few weeks prior to get some work done & are delighted with the results. We were especially pleased at the attention given to our “While we’re at it” list. If you are having an issue with your air assist toilet They have a plan for you. Trust Me! Not mentioning any names but one of the staff ended up with one of our special outdoor lights. Bet they’ll probably be using those things all over the shop. While I’m on the subject of shop You could probably eat off the floor in the massive work shop. There’s enough room inside for at least 15 coaches in each area. Hats off & major salute to Tradewinds!

Was that a Microphor air toilet and if so, what did you replace it with? Was the footprint of the new toilet the same or needed modifications?

It was a Microphor & replaced it with a Techma. The footprint was very close with only a short space between the toilet & wall but that allows access if needed. The Techma is a rear discharge just like the Microphor so no major floor changes had to be made.

Hmm, I was under the impression Techma was no longer available, good to know.

Don’t know of availability but we needed it & Tradewinds had one so we’re not using a bucket if you know what I mean…
