  • Passenger Foot support slide

Posted by glen on July 9, 2013 at 8:39 am

Anybody know how to access foot support slide under passenger side seat. Hung (retracted) halfway in Sunday. Little nudge and went back in but was goona check it. Probably access door under my feet where all electrics and air valves are but gonna ask you Guru’s first. It is air operated. Ought to leave it in and make wife turn her chair around so she wont harp on my driving!

    Thanks

    Glens,

Don’t know your converter, but on the 97 Royale I had, there were
two access panels up high behind the bumper. The Royale had a spare
tire and once removed, I could lay on my back and work through the
holes, but it’s a tough job. The cylinder and rod will come out
after removing all the bolts under the front of the slide. All mine
took was replacement “o” rings and the actuating valve in
    the steering bay.

Thought I would look behind bumper, but I have 3 slide out Cruise Airs under there. Gotta be there or though access door on front side of coach. Thanks for idea Tom.

With the entry door open and the floor slide out you should be able to see the push rod and the end of the cylinder that slides the floor in and out. That can be disconnected and then you should be able to verify the floor slide itself is not binding. Assuming it is not binding then you are likely to be able to see the air supply lines and control valves from inside the lower compartment beneath the driver’s seat. It is probable the air cylinder will not be visible because it likely is running between the two Prevost structural channels that run fore and aft.

I had a similar issue with mine, turned out it was the air valve in the first bay under driver. I changed it, and now works like new. Before, it was slow and hanging up.
