    • We are looking to up grade. My lovely bride has located a 2009 Parliament XLII at Olympia Coach in Nashville. Does anybody have any experience or knowledge about Parliament and the dealer? It there any items that we should be looking out for? We know about the delam problem the salesman said there is non, still going to have Prevost verify.
    • Any comment would be greatly appreciated.

Mike & Cathy, you will find the people at Parliament honest, knowledgable and a satisfying buying experience. Ask Ben Cumming or Rick Mays what the true condition of the coach you’re looking at is and what it needs. you will get an honest assessment. As to Ken Robertson…..he’s a great guy, but it’s sometimes hard to get the salesman out of him(mainly because that’s what he is). Ben & Rick are the reason we have our present coach even though it wasn’t purchased at Parliament and they have maintained all our previous coaches. BTW, what coach are you looking at ?

I didn’t buy from them, but I would if they had something I wanted. I visited the dealership a few months ago, and Ken Robertson was extremely helpful and patient. He spent a lot of time with me, showing me various coaches. He also schooled me on XLII delamination, and how to recognize it. I did not meet anyone in the service department, but those guys have excellent reputations.

If you were looking at the 1999 Vantare that is gold/brown, I looked at that coach, too. From what I recall, it was in amazing condition for its age.

    Mike & Cathy,

We had our Vantare there for service for a week and the service was awesome they fixed everything on our coach that needed fixing… we considered a 2004 Parliament Coach that Ken had on consignment but the owner wouldn’t get real on the needed repairs.

If you are interested in a Vantare H3-45 ours is a 98 with 2 slides (no air seals) it is listed here on PC.

    Cheers, Diane

Mike & Cathy, have you figured out the parameters of the coach you are looking for yet ? Price, year range, H or XL or XLII, slide or non-slide etc ? Based on your looking at the H Vantare at Parliament, have you seen fellow PC members Larry & Dianes Vantare that is presently for sale ? Now there’s a well maintained and kept bus. If you’re still not quite sure what you want, consider attending the PC rally-no-rally in OKC.

I have had no personal experience with Parliament, but Rick May is more than capable of supporting the coach. They have a reputation for having a robust and well designed house electrical system.

I have never heard anyone express concerns about the features on a Parliament regarding quality or how well things work.

I think Mikee should jump in because i believe he can be very specific about the coach and features.

Hey Jon, Doesn’t George know a lot about the Parliament Coach? You remember he helped me with the one near Tampa and was friends of the president?

    Hi,

Parliament coaches are built with service in mind. Everything is accessible for service wit hthe removal of a panel usually held in place with Velcro. The electrical system is very well done as well as mechanical. The Spyder system is used widely in the marine industry as well as some plastic coaches and is easy to bypass or service. USA Luxury coach in Clearwater FL is the go to place for service, upgrades, etc. Richard, Rick, Joe, etc are all the original Parliament folks and have the info on the coaches, diagrams, etc. I just moved from a Parliament to an Emerald. Emerald is built along the same lines of serviceability.

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Rick and Richard at USA Luxury Coach are top notch to helping on Parliament concerns. Was missing some 12vdc schematics and Richard downloaded from his files. They know these coaches and stepped up when Ben Cummins passed.
