Any suggestions on parking near downtown Chicago, 1-2 nights…

    Thanks

With the closing of Sears stores, Gander Mountain, and other retailers it should not be hard to find an empty parking lot. But as nice as that may sound I would think a nice bus would be a very appealing surface for grafitti so my first choice would be a secure RV park.

    Dorel,

Contact Mango Mike, he’s parks there every year at some yard and loves it. mike@bbqdelray.com

Ok, thanks Jon/Tom, I will contact Mike to confirm…found Marshalling Yard, large parking lot for McCormic Place and freight shipped to McCormic place…24 hrs staff / convenience/vending center / security cameras, 18 min from downtown.

Google maps shows few RV’s and busses parked there…

Pretty sure this is the one Mike is talking about, I will try it out and provide feedback.

Dorel, we always stay at McKormack Place…dry camp, secure 16/nite and 3blks from EL. Cab, Uber/Lyft will come to your bus.

Thanks Corey, good stuff, they quoted me $35/24 hrs, not a big deal, seems the “best” and only parking alowed overnight close to downtown.

We have done the Marshalling Yard as well. Safe, secure, and right downtown.
