Pan, tilt, zoom camera?
Posted by Andrew on December 18, 2023 at 12:28 pmAnyone have a rear view pan-tilt-zoom camera they like? Looking for something that can be used as typical rear view plus aiding in backing up to my trailer.

Have control vision it does it all.
A brain Fart I also have the Total Vision
When i give a turn signal the camera goes to that side of the coach and fills the screen full screen
The rear camera is great for viewing my toad. the best part is viewing the truck in relation to a vehicle i am passing. No fear of cutting off someone.

My coach came with the Total Vision system referenced above. The pan / tilt / zoom is awesome. As far as I can tell it is hard wired into my dash radio / GPS (Kenwood DNX775RVS) so I can switch from either side view, interior or exterior from the driver’s seat. While backing up to hitch up trailer can tilt camera to watch the ball. Or pan to side to watch barn sides.
If I could put a similar system on the stacker that would be awesome. I suppose running a wire feed from trailer to the coach is doable just not sure I want to drill holes. Current trailer camera is a generic wireless that works OK while stationary / slow speed. The refresh rate is slow so it don’t help with highway merges.

Total vision looks perfect, except the price.
I’m planning for my trailer to use a home security type wireless camera system then just using my phone. I’ll have solar on the trailer so when disconnected so it’ll be security.
My backup camera fried so not sure if I wanna pull the trigger on a total vision or stick with a security type for the rv too.
