Paint Touch Up
Hi Everybody, I’d like to get a paint and clear coat touch up in the LA
area. I have a quote from a mobile place called “Colors on Parade” that seems
reasonable but does anyone know of another place that does a good job of
painting? I heard one time of a shop in Fontana but I can’t seem to find any info on that place.Thanks for your time.

Hi Ronald, I thought about including the estimate but I wasn’t sure if
I should. Of course “Olivia” won’t need any touch ups for years to come I’d
imagine, that’s an excellent bus that you have! I was quoted $2,200 for “10
areas” that need minor touch up of the paint and clear coat. The clear coat is
mostly up by the roofline and around some corner areas. I have some paint that’s
chipped by the windows and on top of some of my rivets. This guy uses, as far
as I understand, a low-pressure sprayer that “blends” the paint so it’s basically
unnoticeable when dry. He’s also mobile so that price includes travel to me (about 100 miles round trip). He came highly
recommended by Cal Coach. Ray Davis also had good praise for his work. The
reason I’d like to get another quote is to find out if this one is in the ball
park or not because I really have no way of knowing, I’ve never had a touch up done before.
