  • Overnight stay in Valdosta Ga.

Posted by Craig on December 27, 2018 at 5:27 am

Have any of you fine folks stayed in the Valdosta Georgia area? We have always stopped at Eagles Roost RV park previous coach was 36 foot present coach 45 foot. I had a hard time getting in and out of the park. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank You

I always stay at Cecil Bay exit 32. Not fancy, gravel and dusty during dry conditions, but easy in and out pull through, no tree worries and 280. Power has never been an issue. Very elderly couple runs it, be patient.

We always stay at Twin Oaks at Elko, GA but it’s about 100 mi. north of Valdosta. If it suits you ask for the front row and tell ’em I sent you. Easy in and out.

There’s also the sausage place that Tom likes at I 75 exit 82 between the two. I’ve actually seen Tom parked there so I know he’s not makin’ stuff up.

Are there still hook-ups at the AG Center in Tifton? I think that is about mile marker 63.

Ag Center still closed, that was the favorite for most, hated to see it close. Exit 63B. Typical government move closing it and letting it set empty instead of collecting camping fee’s to offset the expense. There was always campers parked there.

We have stopped at Lake Park Campground in Lake Park, GA exit 5 on I-75 twice, and it’s an easy place to stay. Nothing fancy, but very clean and a good place to stop overnight. plenty on room. 229-559-6555. It used to be a Camping World campground, but is now privately owned.

I should add it to the map.
