Plan was to leave about 8:30- 9am from Marathon(after they show me where the inverters bypass switches are…LOL), that will put me about 3pm into Atlanta, at 68/70 mph.

Bring a book to read because you are likely to get there later, and traffic just needs one car breaking down or a small accident to come to a standstill.

We go through Atlanta on a regular basis either direction. You don’t want to go through at 3pm. Time it to go through either 930am-2pm or 230am-5am weekdays. Forget Saturdays, Sundays 3am-11am or 6pm on. Geo.

Boy have I wasted sometime in the Non-HOV lanes in Atlanta

Chuck, absolutely…except at the very northbound end. Have used it more than a dozen times. Geo.

HOV all the way through, at least then you only have one side to worry about. The northbound HOV ends just above Windy Hill where 285 traffic merges.
Dorel, just take your time and work your way through, you may get lucky. That’s why I mentioned exit 306 and Harvest Moon, you’ll be ready for a break by then. Call ahead though…
Loves at Emerson exit 283 usually has the best fuel price.

Can you run the HOV on I-75 through ATL pulling a toad in the camper?

I have been using the HOV for decades pulling a toad behind the bus and so far so good. I have used HOV lanes in other cities and states also towing and haven’t had any issues.

LOCstar: If you get stopped in the HOV lane, just tell them who you are.

Loc, just tell them you know Roger. That’s what I do and then they apologize for bothering me and let me go.
