Over-the-Road Freon Charge Question
Good Morning – Would it be a correct assumption that if the red ball in the lower receiver site glass does not float in the middle of the lower site glass, but instead is not moving and holding steady firmly floating at the top of that lower site glass indicates the system is over-charged?
I have read that if the red ball in the lower site glass does not float at all, or floats below the mid-point, the system is under-charged.
Symptom is that the rear of the bus is very cold, while the dash air temp supplied not by the Prevost “Over-the Road” system, does not get as cold. THANK YOU, Jeff
P. S. – the front expansion valve was replaced about 6 months ago
