Out with the old, In with the new
Well the old Amana finally bit the dust. I was going to replace it this year along with some other projects but it forced my hand. Can’t give it a bad rap after 18 years of faithful service. I went with a Whirlpool WRS571CIHZ that was the exact dimensions, no modifications necessary. I decided to R&R the windshield myself because I wanted it out for a couple of other projects. Following the sage advice given on this and another site the installation was actually quite easy. Taking it slow and easy it went right in. Finishing up a couple of small things and we will take off later this month for a couple of weeks heading to Arizona and Las Vegas for a few days.
