    I removed the gen battery to check the acid level, capacity/state of charge, and clean the terminals. While it was out I was able to remove the access panel to the 120v motor, fan, and fan belt for drawing air thru the gen radiator. Its been 5 yrs 500 gen hrs since I changed the fan belt, NAPA# A39, and refurbished this compartment. The belt wasn’t bad but I changed it anyway($8).

    Smart owners replace parts like fan belts even when they look good.

    At 5 years use that belt falls into category of dry rubber. Your old belt now carried as a spare.
