  • OTR Bus Air “Recirculation” Mode Button at Dash

Posted by Archived on August 21, 2019 at 11:44 pm

    Greetings,

In my car, when I depress its ac system recirculation mode button, it closes a damper preventing outside air from coming inside and the air coming through the vents quickly becomes noticeably colder, yet in our new to us H3, when I depress the recirculation mode button at the dash, it illuminates, yet I do not feel the air coming through the dash vents becoming colder (nor do I hear a damper closing as when I select other venting buttons such as vent or defrost)

Can anyone tell me whether or not you hear the damper close and whether or not if activating the recirculation mode makes air coming through the dash vents colder as is common in a passenger car?

    Thank you, Jeff

Recirculation on OTR equipped Liberty conversions I had was accomplished by blocking the air intake to the evaporator side with a plate or cap.

To the best of my knowledge my OTR equipped coaches never had an option to bring in fresh air unless the plate or cap was physically removed.
