Hands down, OTR is the best at cooling but, obviously, the engine must be running. It will cool down a coach from 115 in 30-60 minutes and doesn’t even breath hard to maintain comfortable interior temps at 115 while driving. I believe the system is over 100,000 btu’s which equals about 7 roof/cruise-airs.

I have not had what I consider satisfactory performance from either of my Cruise-air equipped coaches despite modifications and assurances from the converter (in the case of the Liberty) that they would be adequate. My 1990 Marathon XL was equipped with 3 cruise-airs and, after mods, was good in the sun to an outside temp of about 90. My 2000 Liberty XLV has 4 cruise-airs and is good to about 100. Obviously, if you do not subject your coach to extremes outside the parameters listed, you’ll be fine.

I have no personal experience with roof airs, but I know most entertainer coaches with roof airs have 5-6 units.
