Comparing the cost of operating a plane to operating a Prevost is like comparing the operation of a bicycle messenger with UPS. They both require a deep understanding of systems, both need pre trip inspections, and both require more expensive upkeep than the family car, but the difference in cost is significant. Once a Prevost is put in good working order and is on a good maintenance program it is cheap to run compared to ANY plane. But Jerry is correct in how similar they are and both represent excellent quality.
He is on target about navigating. Not only less traffic for the King Air, but even in congested airspace there is a high degree of order and courtesy no longer found on today’s highways with threats coming at us from every direction.
