Ordering parts from Prevost
Not sure if this is the right forum for this question.
After having owned several other coaches, we just purchase or first new to us Prevost H3-45 Vantare model earlier this year. I am in need of some parts that I must obtain from Prevost and need to determine how to go about placing an order. I have the parts manual, and have also downloaded the parts catalog from the website to verify the numbers from my older parts manual are correct. But now I need to place an order.I downloaded a Credit Application from Prevostparts.volvo.com, but it has some questions on it that I am unsure how to answer, such as Type of Business, method of payment, Credit Limit Requested, etc. As I am an individual coach owner (retired mechanic) that just does his own maintenance.

Michael, a phone call to the factory will get the answers you need on the credit application or you have the option of just using your credit card.
As to ordering parts, I have always talked to a real live person. That does not mean I am not prepared to talk about what I need, just that if the part has been superceded I can get the latest information and so far I have never had to send a part back.

OK, thanks. I will give them a call and see about getting the ball rolling. However I don’t look forward to install one of the parts, the dust boot (both of them have fallen apart) on the lower control arm on a 2002 H3-45, looks simple enough but still you never know what is going to crop up doing a simple task such as that.

That is going to be a hard job. You can keep it greased often a lot easier than trying to replace the dust covers.

Wished thats all it required was greasing them, but these are sealed roller bearing units, so they have no grease fittings. So nothing to help lube the seals other than spraying some silicone or something on the outside from time to time. Now that I own the coach, it will go under a strict maintenance program.

I was thinking of the upper ball joints. Now I know what you mean.
