Dick, indeed he did. I also raced against him and usually behind him. Always had to watch out for the “chaw” that would exit his car on a restart if I was close enough. He is one of the greats as are so many from that era in Wisconsin short track racing. Geo.

Thanks all for the replies.I wasn’t sure if there was anything particular to watch for concerning specific converters or not.I don’t want to get into a conversation of which might be best as that is biased at best.lol I also realize anything Prevost is good. Again, just curious about the differing converters and what might be some things to look out for such as dash display on the CC. I don’t even know if that is an issue, but I seem to think I read that it could be.

Every converter is using the Prevost chassis so they all start with an excellent foundation.

Every converter has a niche that makes them stand alone. The differences may be subtle or deal breakers depending on the buyer’s wants and needs. Some buyers consider the decor and paint schemes very important. Some buyers only want a coach that has current support from the converter. Some buyers want a wood interior. Some buyers want a specific floor plan, or electrical system, or type of A/C.

There is one constant. I have never heard an owner complain about his conversion to the point he has said “never again”.

We have had our 2004 Featherlite since 2009 and it has Transmission Retarder and bus air. Jon and several others helped guide us when we were looking and they were spot on with their recommendations. Our coach has served our family well and we try to reciprocate by keeping up with maintenance along with preemptive replacement of some parts before they time out.

Hi Brett ; We moved up to our prevost from a custom ordered 2006 tradition which we thought was going to be our last coach and all I can say is that when we ordered our tradition I was leaning twords a prevost and in rertrospect I should have made the move at that time. There is no comparison .Prevost is the best nomatter who the converter is.

Brett, one note on the CC glass dash replacement. I have been told Silverleaf has lowered the price on the glass dash replacement from $10k to about $6k, so not quite as bad.

I am on my second Featherlite Vantare H3. I have no issues with either one of them, other than, as stated earlier about the RVAC air conditioner.

The quality, and design of the systems are as good as any out there, IMO.
