Here’s an answer that is not an answer.

    Go to this link http://prevostparts.volvo.com/technicalpublications/en/pub.asp

You will find the information you are seeking is not there. But…..if you play around and enter incorrect information such as the model year for a newer coach you will get some good information. For example, except for major redesigns such as going from an XL to an XLII Prevost makes incremental changes so while you may not be able to get what you need for a 1990 coach which was likely a 40 footer powered by a 2 stroke engine, you might get information for a later model with a 2 stroke engine, or you may have to use information for a coach with a Series 60.

The important thing to recognize is you might have to compare the information that is available to your coach. Some information will be valid, but some may supercede what you have. The basic information is likely to be accurate enough for your purposes.

The information you can harvest from the link above will be far better than nothing.

Don’t forget, you can always ask questions here. Sometimes we may actually provide a correct answer. (Almost just kidding about that.)

PA-1082 1989-2000 is the maintenance manual for xl buses and motorhomes from 1989 -2000.

Access this at the link Jon provided.

Go to the Technical manuals section.

Mark vehicle type as “XL Bus”

    Check “Maintenance Manual

    Do not enter a date

    Josh,

Maybe someone with a similar vintage coach with the owner’s manual will copy theirs and send it to you. I suspect anything from late 87 (first introduction of DDEC) to 93 or 94 will be a big help.

Josh, I used to have a ’90 converted by County Coach. I never had any chassis manuals from Prevost but I did scan and save the Country Coach house manual before selling and can send it to you if yours is Country Coach. It won’t be of any value to you if yours had a different converter. Note that there are several other ’90 XL owners who post on this site. Send me your email address if you need the CC manual. Good luck with your new bus!

Josh, I sent you the manual via my work email because the file is large. Email me through this site if you have trouble opening it.

If you haven’t already, you should check out the “Homebuilders” tab on this site. There are some very knowledgable folks who are in various stages of the project you are undertaking. Good luck!
