I am going to Omaha, Nebraska for 5 nights beginning Saturday. I am going to a church that does not have a place for me to park. The parking spot I had counted on has fell through and now I am scrambling. The KOA southwest of Omaha is quite a distance from the church but it is looking like my only option. I am prepared to call them but I thought I would check on suggestions here first.

Anybody know of anything in or near Omaha where I can park?

    Thanks,

    Davy

Edit: Found Pine Grove RV Park near Greenwood. It is 32 miles out. Anything closer?

Wow! We must not have anybody on here familiar with Omaha or there is a serious shortage of suitable parking in Omaha.

I think I will make a reservation at Pine Grove.

The city of Papillion has a small but adequate park on south side of town call me 8703501032 after 9am we lived close by and have stayed there. Coffee and a map and a few minutes and I can tell you how to get there

Thank you very much for your help. I will file that information for future visits but I made a reservation yesterday evening at Pine Grove. I was concerned my only option would evaporate without a firm reservation. I may call you next week for directions so I can go by and scope out the place you know about.

    Thanks again,

We are staying four nights at Pine Grove RV Park near Greenwood. It is right off I-80 at exit 420. It is easy to get into and has big gravel pull thru sites with full hookups. It is a full family park with pool, playground and the rest but it has been very quiet and peaceful for us.

It is 32 miles from the church where we are preaching in Omaha but that’s not too bad for four days.

A big plus here is that I was blessed to meet another great Prevost owner. I pulled in two spots down from a beautiful 95 Liberty XL. I had two great visits with the owner before he pulled out and he was a super nice guy. His liberty is absolutly stunning inside. Our coaches are basically the same vintage and I will tell you his conversion stands head and shoulders above my Vantare in many respects. He has had many updates completed in the last year but his basic interior conversion is original and it is outstanding. I have got to hand it to Liberty on that one.

I called Roger and got directions to the park in Papillion, Nebraska and it is pretty close to Omaha. It is called Walnut Creek Recreation Area Campground. I went to look at it today and is pretty nice. There is no water or sewer at the sites but it has several 50 amp spots and all the spots are concrete. There were several big rigs in there. It is $16 per night but it is first come first served.

Thanks, Roger. It was nice to talk to you.
