WOW! Talk about a step back in time.

When I was going to high school our town did not have a high school (Secaucus, NJ) so we had to select another high school in another town. I opted to go to Weehawken High School and to get there we were given vouchers or tickets that allowed us to get on public transportation to get to school.

The buses we used were that exact model of bus and for three years I rode that bus to and from school.

The buses were run by Public Service Transportation and I do not know if that was a private company or a city / state owned bus lines, but those model buses were used extensively in our area which was in the NJ side of the metropolitan NYC area. The buses that stayed on NJ only routes were all automatic transmissions and the buses that went from N J into NYC (Port Authority Bus Terminal) were all 4 speed manual transmissions. The years were from 1957 to 1960.
