Its been reported a half million vehicles have drowned in Houston. Thats a huge number for insurance companies total. Some vehicles are bound to be “reconditioned”, titles washed, and vehicles are resold. Used car prices will probably reflect this shortage of good used cars with so many being water impaired The Intermountain region in the past gets a surprising number of used vehicles from the gulf coast. This is per car fax.
Since cars and trucks are affected, I wonder how many RVs will fall into this murky category, including busses. More buyer beware, I guess! -

I remember the cops talking about your twitchy fingers. Or was that sticky, I forget?
You ask good questions and the answer will prove to be interesting. We all remember the Obama administrations drive into the automobile business called “Cash for Clunkers” and one of the unintended consequences was the way it raised the price of used cars throughout the country. I think we can expect the same thing here.
I have no idea the percent of increase or how long it will last but it would be hard to believe it won’t be there.
It includes a huge “Buyers Beware” doesn’t it? Because we know there will be unscrupulous folks out there selling them with no “water damage” claim associated with the sale. And certainly as you so aptly stated Jim, RV’s will be part of the mix!
