Oiling system for DN50 ??
I’m pretty sure I’m going to install the new belt tension parts kit#23527060 and new style oil filler, I’m trying to understand the plumbing that oils the DN50 alternator. I took some pictures, there are 2 lines from engine, 1st line braided comes from upper side of engine goes to a tee on the end on Tu FLO 750 at lifting fuel pump, them from the other end of tee it’s smaller stainless braided line goes to DN50 at back then brass line to front of DN50- 2nd fabric Braided line to rear of case that has gears in it to rear of DN50 what way does oil travel ?. There is a picture of Bob Brittons engine with a stainless going to the front of case, connects by the new auto tenisioner, what is the new plumbing. I heard of a kit that changes oil line from DN50 to front of gear case??? Return oil line??

Art – if this isn’t what you’re asking then ignore. The line I think you are asking about is a vent line. That line was moved at some point from rear of front cover to higher up on front of cover (as looking at engine).
Oil feeds from small line that splits front to rear on top of alternator running back to front. Drain line is 1″ from bottom of alternator to oil pan. That other line routed to front engine cover is the vent.
I did the automatic tensioner upgrade, and also the vent line change. I didn’t understand HOW the vent line change could possibly make any difference whatsoever, until I got the kit. Old line fittings were about 1/8″, new ones look like 1/4″. Supposed to vent better and help eliminate leaks is what I remember.

Thanks for the reply, In my small brain, I’ve drawn a flo map and it looks like the fabric braided line that goes to the upper side of engine in picture then goes to a tee at compressor/fuel pump then stainless braided line from other side of tee goes to another tee at rear of DN50 lubes rear of DN50 then hard copper line from tee to front of DN50, then exits top of DN50 with fabric braided line to rear of gear box, Vent or oil return?? All in pictures Thanks

The braided line from top of alternator going to front/visible side of engine cover in last pic is the vent line. That is the updated line location, original installation went to back of front cover (next to last pic). I think that’s what you’re asking.
Your next to last pic shows the old braided vent line location. Last pic shows the revised newer location.
The small metal line in pic is oil feed line to front of alternator, tees from the rear oil feed.
Oil drain line is much larger 1″ or so and attaches to bottom of alternator case.

Billy! thanks’ for the tip, I found that kit# 23528624 on e-Bay new in box bought for 75 bucks it should be here in a couple of days, have you installed the belt tensioner and oil line kits? Line on rear of case, do you install a plug in it when you remove it ?

Art – yes, plug should be included in kit. Yes I installed both kits. Only additional item I needed was a new oil fill cap/plate which moves it to upper left cover position.
Looks like kit you have in pics has that included.

I had bought the oil fill on eBay a couple of years ago.
