That question should generate about 100 opinions. Tires and air pressure will come in a close second.

Back to your question….. with my Series 60 there is a sticker on a air tube with the flavor Detroit Diesel wants me to

    use.

Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15-40 is Detroit spec oil for all series 60 motors.

One place would be any NAPA auto parts.

Another would be any of those truck stops west of Carthage MO. on I-44 Fly J, Pilot, TA Loves. Really any place that sells diesel fuel will carry oil.

I usually watch the sales and ran accross Tractor Supply coupon less !0 % for my next oil change, buying ahead.

15W40 is available at every truck stop since it is what just about all engines except the 2 strokes require. Those with the 8V92 engines need straight weight 40W that meets the Detroit spec. That oil is getting harder to find.

I have gotten my oils at local oil suppliers (look under lubricants), parts houses like Al mentions, but don’t forget WalMart or Sams as a source also. We just picked up 15W40 at Advanced Auto, Shell brand for under $14 a gallon.

FYI, If you are on the road and want an oil change at Prevost, ask them what they will use.

If you do not like their standard bulk fare, tell them what you want.

Prevost will bring in any oil you choose for your service.

    You must speak up!

Just bought Shell Rotella last month at O’Reilly’s for 13.99 per gallon. The best place is usaully Tractor Supply when they have the 2 1/2 gallon jugs on sale.
