Is what it is! If one feels it is to high do as my 3 year old grand daugther says “Don’t go there anymore”:: this was after doctor left bruise on my wife. When you burn a bridge it is hard to cross the creek to get specalized help. My musings for former business owner. Bob the Busnut.

Andy, Vonore is less than one degree South of Knoxville off highway 33, so we all understand how you could be mistaken on mat placement when looking at the map from the other side of the Pond. ;<)

One thing is for sure. In a couple of weeks we are all going to have to deal with Jeff at the seminar and all this praise he is getting might make it difficult to deal with him.
His prices are going to go up.
You will have to kiss his ring to get service
His business is going to have an unlisted phone number.
He won’t be doing any more work, but instead will have his people doing work.
If you want to ask a question on the phone you will need an appointment.
You will need to own an oil well or two in order to afford one of his oil changes.

Jon, If you can obtain one of those cardboard Burger
King Crowns, we can have a special anointment ceremony at the end of the
seminar to make Jeff the official King. If someone has a hot glue gun, we can even add some sparkly for the ‘bling’ competition.FFF

no one ever advertised the service provider as walmart and able to beat everyones price by 10%. I don’t do Wallmart. Shop were you like. Again I as a homebuilder/do it yourself/it’s a hobby –guy have no horse in this race. The complicated systems you guys have scare the hell out of me. Takes a specialist! For the guy that spoke up–no foul you have the right to speak out. Prob 99% satisfaction rate here. I do remember a guy with engine prob recently that Jeff couldn’t get his head around.. Cudos: he followed thru and directed customer to outside help. Has made for a positive discussion with realazation of utility you recieve for dollars spent.

Whether Jeff’s oil change price is high or low I don’t know. Having been ripped by Marathon and Prevost in the past for work that was inferior I pay the freight to have access to the expertise at ETLC.
DurIng my major engine fiasco Jeff, took all the systems down, took my coach in to the DD shop, checked on it periodically, picked it up and brought everything up and made sure everything was working. To me that kind of service is almost priceless. I have called him twice while on the road and he answered and solved the problems for me (Apple does the same for $1.50/minute as I recall) for very little cost.
Yes, would I rather pay Walmart prices for Cadillac service? Absolutely but that’s not reality. Part of my praise for Jeff is very selfish. I want a facility close by that I can trust to take good care of my coach at an industry competitive price. ETLC does that for me. But for other owners there may be different shops they prefer and that is OK.

Since we’re bashing Jeff, I have a very serious major complaint. His shop is too far east! He needs to relocate to the west a bit, like Dallas, TX. My travels just don’t take me that far east very often.

We like him right where he is, I think he does too. It’s only a 1200 mi round trip…ya’ll need to exercise your busses more. Geo.

2100 mile round trip for me but I guess that why the tires are round. Now if that diesel gets down to around a buck a gallon, I’m all in.

I’m a reasonable person, so I second Houston, TX. We have an office there so I’ve got the coach there every couple of months or so. My boss is part owner of an industrial park so we could get Jeff a deal on a new shop and we can give him some side business maintaining our company vehicles. Sounds like a win-win situation to me. And as an additional bonus, Jeff and his crew would no longer have to deal with snow and freezing weather!

We have an 8 bay storage bldg with every stall 60 feet long, inside water, electric, sewer. heated. Kansas City 15 minutes from the intersection of I-35 and I-70.
What could be a more central location ?
