Odor Control for holding tanks…
Odor Shock…very good product for gray / black holding tanks and Aqua Shock for Fresh water tank.
Met the business owner while at Pelican Lake this spring, asked me to give it a try…
Let me tell you, works excellent!
I tried different products over the years with various results, but nothing like this, works great while the coach is in use or stored 1.5 months at the time, no odors at all from the tanks. Have not used the Aqua Shock yet.

Not to dismiss the product, but to make folks aware, holding tank odors inside the coach are an indication of a problem.
The holding tank should be vented to atmosphere, and all paths through the piping to the holding tank should have water traps. If odors are sensed it is almost always because the water in the traps has evaporated or in some cases been evacuated by low pressure as a result of driving speeds creating a low pressure area around a roof vent.

Another source of odor can be the Air Admittance Vent (AAV), sometimes called by the trade name “Studor”.
Any drain needs to have air follow the water draining. In home construction that is usually a piped vent unless it is a sink drain in a kitchen island.
The AAV is “spring loaded” so that it is closed normally and only opens when water is going down the drain, creating a slight vacuum that needs air to follow the water. No vent or AAV and the sink drain will be very slow.
The “spring loaded” part of the AAV is by necessity weak and can become fouled, not allowing it to close tightly. If that happens, grey tank odors will vent out of the AAV.
Should you need to replace an AAV, you will have a choice of a very cheap one or one noticeably more expensive (but still cheap). Go with the best. The contortions and effort involved means you don’t want to do it twice.

I don’t believe any chemicals are necessary, just plenty of water. As noted, if you are getting any odors inside the RV you need to do some trouble-shooting to find out what’s not working as it should.
If you are a fan of chemicals (i use them in grey if I am dry camping and plan to dump grey on the ground) I have never found anything that works as well as Happy Camper.

You guys know that the rose petal dispenser on the Libertys is there expressly to disguise the smells emanating from the aging, leaking single aluminum holding tank!! I’m pretty sure the dispenser and a lifetime supply of 🥀 rose petals was/is simply more cost effective!!

Whatever you put in, add a generous squirt of Apple scented dish washing liquid. Also cleans the tank out when you dump. I see suds when i let mine drain. I have 3 inch cleans outs of top of mine (grey and black) and can wash out every time i dump.

I’ve never used anything, are you guys sniffing your sewer hose or what. Both gray and black stink, but only when you dump, so if your’s stink inside you have issues.
