Norgren valves in front steering compartment
I want to change out the last two origninal Norgren valves on the bus, The two buried in the front steering area. I know it depends on who’s doing the job, (experience etc.)
If you’ve done this service, roughly how long did it take you?

I just replaced mine in my H3. Took about three hours because I replaced the push in fittings with compression. I also need a couple of “run tees’. one end of the tee is NPT.

Luc, if you have experience with pneumatics it shouldn’t take more than a couple hours. Take picture and make sure you hook it up exactly as it was. I even pass supply and signal air thru my new valves to assure the logic is correct before i install them.

The bus is in the shop for brake work and I thought while it’s there I might have them replace the last two original valves. Forgot about them when the rest were changed. They are readily accessable, so I thought it would be reasonable. Prevost Hayward wants 6 hours labor to replace them, for a labor cost of $1020.00 And $173. for the parts. That just seems like a long time for a professional bus mechanic to take to replace the valves.
