  • Noise and Vibration Level Question

Posted by Kurt on March 8, 2016 at 11:04 pm

I’m interested to know if there is noticeable difference in the generator noise level (interior and exterior) between a Liberty and Vantare H3 generator setup. Also any comments on perceived vibration would be appreciated. Year range about 98-04.

    Thank you very much!

Doubt that there would be much difference. Vantare uses a seperate “quiet” box, Liberty insulates the bay. Both are on air bags. Geo.

Both seem excellent. On my Liberty I am unaware the generator is running if an A/C is on. I know this because I once had the generator auto-start when I was connected to shore power and it must have run for a while before I realized it when I went outside and was near the exhaust pipe.

Both Vantare and Liberty have the box in a box generator enclosure.

So does that mean you can get with running the gen in ‘quiet’ hours or is that not the done thing?

On my coaches, all were Liberty and the Cruiseairs made more noise outside than the generators. I seriously doubt if any of my coach generators would disturb anyone but I did shut down just to respect the rules.

Have never been clocked on running Gen during prohibited hrs. Geo. Also I mis spoke in my previous post…Liberty does have a quiet box….Marathon, CC and Royale do not.

The down fall of some coaches the gen is not on a slide out tray for easy of service I would not have one that could not slide out to service
