Jon, It was the ground cable from the innermost battery to stud on chassis. At the chassis the cable had some corrosion, it was loose enough you could move cable back and forth, cleaned, tightened, started easily.

If the cable had corrosion, cleaning is only a temporary fix. Take the cable off and go to your local auto parts, truck parts, or marine parts store and have them make you a new one. Most of these places have a crimper. If they don’t, find another. I’d suggest a crimping tool, but they are about $200. I have one, but I use to make a lot of cables in tight places.

Coach was not abused, but apparently just not used. Similar to what we just bought. Here is my recommendation:

1. Carefully take the coach to Jeff Rowe.

2. Leave him 25 large (you apparently put batterires in).

3. Return in about 3 to 4 weeks and you’ll be on good shape.

4. Note to owner … check the date codes on the tires and talk to Jeff. If too old either have new tires installed in place or have it trailered to Jeff.

Did you get any maintenance records? I suspect not. Good luck … keep us posted.

See my post up the top about battery cables being wired properly. That implies the connections were good as well as going to the right place.

The last thing done prior to the problem is always the first place to look. (I think Confusious said that, or maybe it was Gil)
