No New Posts Last 2 Days???
Posted by Jeff on August 19, 2020 at 10:31 amGood Morning – Something I have never seen before, so wondering if something is wrong on my end.
When I have logged-in over the past two days and select the button to display new posts since my last login, none appear – zero new posts. Is this accurate?

A rare event for sure. Probably because since few are using their coaches they are not telling of their travels, seeking destination recommendations, questioning things, etc.
I’ll start with a question aimed possibly at lobstah eaters from New England.
Since we haven’t socialized much, eaten at restaurants, etc. we have developed an urge for stocking up on lobster. Ordering it delivered costs 2 arms and a leg, and besides we are looking for an excuse to get out of the house while still isolating. Obviously we can do that in the bus. The thinking is to head to New England and fill our freezer with as much lobster tails as it will hold and then we can treat ourselves with lobster tails for a long time.
We once bought a lot (100?) live lobsters in Maine, boiled them, and separated the tails and claws. We then vacuum packed the tails and claws separately using the claw meat for salads and sandwiches. We are not willing to do the boiling, but we are willing to buy whole cooked lobsters at local grocery stores for $70 per pound for 1.1 to 1.5 lb. lobsters and separate the tails and claws and vacuum pack and freeze them, or as an alternative one grocery chain is selling 4 oz. tails for $5.99, frozen.
So here’s the question for those in the know. Do we get more bang for our buck buying the whole cooked lobster by the pound, removing the tails and claws, or does it make more sense to just buy the 4 oz. tails, frozen and vacuum pack them and not get any claw meat?
We are thinking it would be nice to end up with about 100 tails at least, and because of their light weight use 4 per meal for the two of us. Do the tails of a 1.1 to 1.5 pound whole lobster weigh 4 oz. or doing that approach cost ourselves a lot of time, but less meat from the tails?

No Lobsta for me, fire up that Liberty and knock off the cobwebs on your way to Ba Habba.
As for the lack of posts, I don’t recall that ever happening in 9+ years…

Hiking, ATV’ing and eating in Colorado is consuming alot of time! I’ll try to come up with a few questions.

The same thing happened to me.

Heck with this Covid 19 and everybody scared to death down here in Texas, we haven’t gotten out since March. Think I’ll wait it out till it gets cooler and go. They even canceled my beer festivel “Wursfest” in New Braunsfels Tx. where we stay on the Comal River both weekends in the Coach every year. Rats.

Was wondering if it was my browser acting up… Glad to know all well.
LOBSTERS – we purchased our coach May of 2019 and took it from Stuart, Florida to Acadia National Park over four months.
We found BOOTH BAY to be our favorite destination in Maine – could have stayed there a month! We preferred it over Bar Harbor as it had “everything” yet was significantly less crowded.
Ok – the Lobster part…we found the best tasting and most reasonable lobster at Pinkham’s Gourmet Market in Booth Bay. They cook them to order and were so incredibly friendly, I would recommend calling them to discuss placing & picking up your desired large order. We ate at Pinkham’s several times! Could not get enough! TELEPHONE NUMBER: 207-633-6236

****ALSO, Boothbay had THE BEST RV park we found in Maine. Perhaps because it had paved roads and was the only one we found with paved roads – can’t stand gravel after gravel after gravel.

Booth Bay also had the many restaurants and things to do, just less crowded and more quaint by far.

Truth be told, I thought maybe it was a boycott, or girlcott, towards the reduction of dues. Have you noticed that things have become so bad that Jon hasn’t mentioned not receiving dues money in at least 10 posts? It’s understandable from Tom’s stanpoint, he’s off buying new homes, new cars, new clothes and depends. Tom, I love ya brother but Jon has needs too!

Depends….. I’m going to have to stick a pin in your voo doo doll Harry, let me know where it hurts tomorrow.

Come on guys, Let’s stir the pot, get it going Jon, Tom, Boater AL, Dick in Wisconsin, Harry and more. We need some zingers. Tom and Jon have not insulted each other lately.

Tom cannot be insulted. He has worn me out almost to the point where he has me convinced his endless travels, multiple home purchases, multiple bus purchases, vast number of car purchases were all paid for out of his personal endless wealth and not the dues money.
Once in a while in the past he has flashed the PC credit card, and bought me a Big Mac so I guess I need to accept the fact he is holding the dues I am owned for safekeeping and maybe someday he may up the ante and spring for spaghetti at Olive Garden.
I understand while his minions are completing the construction of his estate in the Peach State he is partying somewhere in MI.

Voo doo doll indeed, nobody believes in those Tom. I’ve got a bunch of them in my house and my kids still beep coming over! I think that’s all we need to know about voo doo doll, voo doo doll, voo doo doll.

Jon has Lobsta envy, it happens each year about this time and it causes fuzzy math when it comes to dues money. I send him a card card about a month ago for Shoney’s, one of his favorite eateries and he was so happy he told me he did a naked happy dance at the mailbox. Just imagine the poor neighbors seeing that.
So while he plans his trip for a massive purchase of Lobsta in Maine, I am living full time in my camper and eating peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. That is what dues money provides.
Harry, don’t you have something else to do…
-
Damn………..he has the money to buy bread, peanut butter and jelly, and I am slaving away growing my own food.
I never got my Shoney’s card, but on the way to the mailbox I noticed some road kill possum. Yum.

Not only were there no posts for three days for some of us … some of our posts aren’t showing up. They’re gone, even the respones.
Tom hits the road and everthing goes to … well … you know.
