Newer slide models, where does the OTR duct run ??
Just curious about the newer coaches with slides. Where do they run the OTR A/C duct ? Ours runs along the base of the wall, but it seems to me that would interfere with the slides.
Do the new ones run under the floor in the compartments ? Or in the ceiling ?
We were just at the Tampa convention center show and didn’t think to look.

OTR is only available on coaches with no more than 2slides.The return is in the center of the coach on the drivers side just above the OTR bay ,the outlets are along the wall on the curb side.

No OTR available with more than two slides.
On two or one slide coaches the return and some supply air is in the non slide portion of the coach, driver’s side. The supply is predominantly on the passenger side, full length with some gaps due to the refrigerator for example.

Does it work just as well as the vents all the way in non-slide coaches ?
Can you also get the cruisaires or do you have to get the roof top units when there are slides ?

Our OTR on our current 2 slide coach performs just as well if not better than the non-slide coaches that preceded it. The distribution of temps and air flow is good. As in all our coaches we do have to keep the shades open when the OTR is on because the ducting is at the window sills and the system does move a lot of air. If the shades were down they owuld literally balloon out.
When we are using Cruiseairs with the slides in which I do when at home in the garage if I am working in the coach the only one I cannot use is the port side center unit because the living room (sorry, the salon) slide blocks some of its flow when it is not out.
I don’t think it matters if you use roof air or Cruiseairs if you have slides because the design still has to work around the slides. I think Liberty went with roof airs in lieu of Cruiseairs on 4 slide coaches because with that many slides there is such a loss of bay and closet or cabinet space the only empty spot was the roof and ceiling for placement and ducting.
