Well, I’ve done it. Closed the deal on a 2000 Vantare (1999 Chassis). I want to thank all who post here for helping edumacate me about the ins and outs of ownership and pre purchase inspections. I’ll be picking it up from Steve Bennet of California Coach on the 26th. The trip home is 1400 miles. Nice break-me-in run! I’ll post pics when I can.

Congrats on the Vantare, I’ve had 3, and have enjoyed each one of them. Very good quality, and once you learn the electrical system, you will like it.

A few stats on the bus:

    OTR

    4 roof airs

    Good Records

2015 Steers, 2014 Drive and Tags

    New airbags

    New shocks

Recent level 3 at Prevost Mira Loma

Hoping I have a good start at zeroing out this baby!

This is a great site and hoping someday I can contribute.

    Thanks All,

Congrats on your choice of coach and your choice of who to deal with. Steve and Rhonda are first class people and really knowledgible on Prevost coaches.

Thanks guys, the smiling is getting to my wife! It has been a lot of fun reading your posts and following your analysis of a problem to help arrive at solutions. I’ll be heading from Costa Mesa to Las Vegas and then north up 95 to Ontario, OR and west on 84 to home. Looking forward to a pleasant learning experience.

Good job on finding a Vantare of that vintage with roof airs!

You will love the OTR air!

    Congrats Doug & Jan!

We’ve been on the road nine months in our first Prevost. Learning curve was/is lengthy, but we’re loving our coach!

Hope to meet you down the road.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I hope to meet many of you over the next few years of travel however we will be sticking to the left coast for a while. Driggs Idaho 2017 might work out for us. We’ll just have to see.

Doug, you might have mentioned you were buying the bus and spared yourself my droning on about my Marathon. Enjoy my old storage space, want to get in early?
