Jon,
I appreciate the information on the delam charge air cooler. The advice about what needs to be looked at was very helpful. Having to replace the charge air cooler is that a common occurence?

I can only go on what has been reported on this site and it appears that of those that post here, and who have the CAC along side the radiator virtually all have either had to replace the CAC or are going to.
The CAC that was stacked on the radiator apparently is not the type that has had the high failure rate.
BTW, when I mentioned my test of blowing bubbles with the engine idling, that is not the prescribed test method which specifies a pressure leak down rate. But if it is blowing lots of big bubbles you can bet it will not come close to meeting the Prevost listed test procedure.

Welcome Reese , buy a coach that has been zeroed out or have it zeroed out it will be better for you in the long run

i did a 50 mike or so test drive with the roof hung mirrors and did not have an issue seeing. It is differant after many years at look at the low mirrors. The low mirrors are in line with the dash when scanning your dash, the high mirrors are in line with your straight foward road view. I had the option of staying low mirrors. I can let you know in July.

Doug,
His beef was he couldn’t put the shade down far enough to block the sun and see the mirrors. When I drove a new one I didn’t have a problem with the high mirrors, just different. I could see what he meant if the shade is down.
Congrats on your new coach.Later

I know this is thread drift, but every Prevost I have owned or driven at night has a serious issue with mirrors.
The flat side glass next to the driver picks up reflected light from things to the right of the coach along with the dash gauge lights in some cases and it makes it difficult to judge whether the lights you are seeing are lights from a passing car or object along side the coach, or if you are seeing reflections from objects that are off the road to the right of the coach.
Newell may have a great idea if their high mounted mirrors do not have that problem with reflections.

That is a great point with the shades, never really thought of it. That is a great heads up I must say. As Jon points out there are so many compromises in all these things. I do agree the Prevost mirrors at night can be tough.

Doug, I’m 6ft tall and couldn’t touch the mirror. You need a 7ft ladder or a pole with a sponge and then put a soft cloth on it to dry them. That would irritate me. It’s very hard to get everything right even on a new one.

I am 5’6″ in heels, I need a step ladder to clean the low mirrors. Lol Perhaps they won’t get dirty that high? I will need something to clean I won’t have all that stainless to keep up with.
